In the past year, Archstone Foundation proudly supported Pools of Hope, an aquatic therapy center that provides rehabilitation and wellness programming for older adults in the Long Beach community.

As part of our capacity building program, Pools of Hope was able to expand their physical therapy program and introduce occupational therapy services. The grant also allowed them to successfully add the ability to bill healthcare insurance providers for their occupational therapy services – billing $110,000 to date. Pools of Hope also successfully leveraged our grant to secure an additional $167,000 from the CalGrows Innovation Fund. They served 350 older community members during the Archstone Foundation grant period and continue to be a critical resource to older adults in need of quality care.
