On Monday and Tuesday September 16th and 17th in Sacramento, Archstone Foundation and it's funder partners - The SCAN Foundation and The Gary and Mary West Foundation - will begin the public work of supporting a state-wide process to develop a Master Plan for Aging in California. We will join California state officials from across many departments, distinguished experts (including new Archstone Foundation Board Member, Heather Young, PhD, RN, FAAN), and members of the public and press to discuss the issues. We hope that this kick off meeting can set parameters for the process and begin the discussion of how California will set a standard as a good place to age - creating a new meaning for "The Golden State."
You can read more about our vision in this letter we published in the American Society on Aging's newsletter.
Look forward to getting your comments and feedback as the process unfolds.
