Archstone Foundation announces that Laura Rath, Vice President of Programs, has accepted a new professional opportunity and will be concluding her service with the Foundation on June 12th.
For 21 years, Laura has been an integral part of Archstone Foundation's mission and impact. Beginning her tenure as a Program Officer, Laura advanced to Senior Program Officer and ultimately Vice President of Programs, helping to shape the Foundation's grantmaking, partnerships, and strategic direction and serving as a trusted leader, community partner, and advocate for older adults.
Throughout her career at Archstone Foundation, Laura has played a pivotal role in advancing innovative and equity-centered approaches to improve health, social care, and well-being for older adults. Her leadership helped establish and expand several of the Foundation's most significant areas of work, including groundbreaking support to address and prevent elder abuse and neglect, community-partnered efforts to address depression in later life, initiatives supporting family caregivers, and broader efforts to strengthen systems that promote health and well-being as people age.
Laura also helped build the Foundation's program team, advancing practices that align Archstone Foundation's grantmaking with its values of equity and justice and helping position the organization as a recognized leader in health equity and aging philanthropy.
While we celebrate Laura's remarkable contributions and professional growth over the past two decades, we know that the true measure of her impact can be found in the relationships she has built and the partnerships she has cultivated across the field. We are deeply grateful for her leadership, dedication, and unwavering commitment to older adults and the organizations that serve them.
As Laura begins this next chapter, Archstone Foundation remains steadfast in its mission. Our new strategic plan is underway, and with the guidance of our Board of Directors, leadership team, and dedicated staff, our commitment to improving health and social care for older adults in California in order to realize a future where every older adult thrives as they age will continue seamlessly.
Please join us in thanking Laura for her extraordinary service and wishing her continued success. We are grateful for all she has contributed to Archstone Foundation, to the field of aging, and to the countless communities and older adults whose lives have been touched by this work.
