CalGrows is a California Department of Aging (CDA) program designed to support direct care workers and family caregivers of older adults and people with disabilities through in-person classes and online training courses and 1:1 career coaching. Paid Direct Care Workers are eligible to earn up to $6,000 in payment incentives for completing the courses. The CalGrows Innovation Fund recently awarded $89 million in one-time funds for training direct care workers and family caregivers, better equipping them to provide the care and support needed for older adults and people with disabilities.

We are pleased to share that of the 78 CalGrows Innovation Fund awardees, six are current Archstone Foundation grantees and 20 are former grantees. Current grantees include El Sol, Partners in Care Foundation, and Pools of Hope, among others. For more information and the full list of awardees, please visit the CalGrows website here.
