Long Beach, California, December 13, 2005 – The Board of Directors of the Archstone Foundation announced the approval of 19 grants under Phase I of the Elder Abuse and Neglect Initiative, totaling $3,665,496 over two years. Grants were approved during the Board's quarterly meeting in December.

Emphasis is given to innovative programs that have effectively linked academic theory with applied practice in the field of public health and aging.
